this is Hakim. he broke his arm while playing during one of his kampung visit. His dad reported that he was jumping from a higher ground, looking for some adrenaline rush,i presume. Only a day after his date with the doctor, he started playing badminton straight from school. I just had to take his pictures, tickled by the fact that he insisted on playing like he normally would after-school, despite of only having one healthy hand.

Mind u, he was pretty good with both hands in perfect condition, but with one arm resting in the white cloth (what do we officially call them in English ya?I ingat 'anduh' jer.huhu)m he was smashing just like any given day. (hmm.. nad, hakim lefthanded or righthanded hah?)

Latest update from my sister mere minutes ago, our 'judge boy' here decided to go without the white cloth even with the 'cement' still 'wrapping' his arm. (my oh my..DO we call them cement or something else?hehe.sorry..and it IS considered as wrapped around the arm right?)

I am laughing as i type this down, coz he reminds me of..well, me. growing up, i was a fairly naughty kid (well, my folks would say it's more than fairly haha) with history of cuts and bruises (entah berapa kali kepala benjol haha), countless time of 'rotan' sessions for engaging in 'dangerous' activity like climbing the window (lil brother and i always find chances to race and see who gets to the top first.haha), tying ur opponent (in that case, me against my bro) to the bed (hahaha..that didn't come out kinda right huh?) and see who can let him/herself loose the fastest. i remembered once, it was brother's turn to be tied up. poor him, my dad got there before he managed to escape so it was job-made-easy for dad to give him some good smackin'.

i have two scars on both legs to remind me of how naughty i was while growing up. but strange enough, no matter how painful the wound from the falls, scratches, what-not,  we almost always went on to doing the same thing, sometimes finding even more adventurous stuffs to do, even it meant, "balik rumah memang siap kena dengan rotan ayah/cubitan berapi ibu" ^_^.

we succumb to the pain because of the rush we get from the adventure. we pride on the risk that promises us with..(fill in the blanks with your own word ^_^)

i am glad i can still reminisce some of the golden moments growing up in a small town. hopefully I'll be able to share it with my kids and grandkids..InsyaAllah. ^_^ and i sincerely hope all of you do, too.

p.s: nope.still no DSLR.T_T zzzzZZZZZZzzzzzz.
